Our season finale is a celebration of Jewish music throughout western classical music history. The program is highlighted by Dmitri Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, Op. 83a, an arrangement of his String Quartet No. 4 featuring Jewish musical themes, and Abigale Reisman’s Gedanken, arranged specifically for this performance and featuring the incredible Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band.
